As Ace asks...

... "How's that new era of transparency working out for you?"

Barack Obama's top man in the intelligence community sent the President a memo defending the use of enhanced interrogation techniques, which the White House edited before releasing to the press de-emphasizing that defense.

We've always been at war with East Asia, it seems.

Oh goodie - witch hunts!

Remember, it's not sufficient to defeat your enemy - you must discredit and destroy them as well.

President Barack Obama said Tuesday the United States lost "our moral bearings" with gruesome terror-suspect interrogations and he left the door open to prosecuting Bush administration officials who vouched for their legality.

Oh, and a nice bit of editorializing from Jennifer "Kneepads" Loven there.  Gruesome, Jennifer?

I can't wait to see how The Dark Lord handles this latest softball from Obambi.  Seriously.

Mr. Post-Partisan strikes again

Here's a great idea - let's dump highly confidential memos from the previous Administration out on the White House lawn.  What could possibly go wrong?

Sweet Jeebus - is there anything the teleprompter messiah and his asshole minions won't politicize?

Patriotic Dissent - sooooooo last administration.

DHS - the new brownshirts.

Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.

Well I must admit, that description pretty much fits me to a "T".

More from Gabe Malor and MM.

Dissent - it's just not for Patriots anymore.

Well, we now understand why Obama kept-on SecDef Gates.

So that when the Ayers-worshiper went about dismantling the US Armed Forces he could put a nominally Republican FaceTM on the process.

Gates announced a broad range of cuts Monday to weapons spending, saying he plans to cut programs ranging from a new helicopter for the president to ending production of the $140 billion F-22 fighter jet. The Army's modernization program would be scaled back, while a new satellite system and a search-and-rescue helicopter would be cut.

Sure, because Heaven Forbid we modernize the Army in a time of asymmetrical warfare.

What could possibly go wrong?

The good news?  These cuts will all bring howls of protest from Congress and are not likely to see the light of day.

The bad news?  That they would be proposed in the first place, of course.

The Chicago Way

The President of the United States as Don Corleone...

“My administration,” the president added, “is the only thing between you (the CEO's of big banking companies) and the pitchforks.”

Yep, the pitchfork wielding mob that you, Community Organizer in Chief, set-up, nursed, have now fed billions of our tax dollars of our money, and who's Perpetual OutrageTM you go out of your way to stoke daily.

It's the Chicago Way, of course.

Fuck you, Mr. President.  The only thing standing between you and the pitchforks is apathy among the electorate - and that can change on a dime, bucko.

I ask again, is there anyone - anyone - still alive and breathing at RNC headquarters these days?

A message for the Society of the Perpetually Outraged...

Hey leftards!  Any time y'all who got your frilly pink panties into such a wad over Dubya's perceived shredding of the Constitution want to, you know, show some outrage over President Zero's actual shredding of self-same Constitution would be fine with me.

Any time...
